The relatively new Balluchi Indian Fusion & Bar is an enticing spot that combines fresh Indian fare with an ornate lounge atmosphere. Open late, and featuring both a late-night locale for having fun, as well as a full menu of Indian Fusion cuisine, this unique destination can satisfy a desire for a big meal, or an evening of entertainment.

The lounge area opens to patrons around 9:00 p.m., and features a few tables, couches, a pool table or two, and a decadent dark bar that provides plenty of seating. The restaurant area is nearby, and is where diners can go to sit down and feast on a full lunch or dinner of tasty Indian cuisine. All the Indian staples are represented, including Tikka Masala, Tandoori Chicken, Channa Masala, and other meat and veggie specialties, as well as a handful of more unusual and almost American specialties that are hard to find in the Cape Fear region. For something light, munch on Chili Chicken, Lettuce Wraps, Indian Lollipops or chicken wings from the Appetizers section to get a taste of Indian fare that’s not often found on local Wilmington menus. For hearty lunches and dinners to late-night entertainment, Balluchi Indian Fusion & Bar is making waves as one of the more unique destinations for Indian fare.

Wrightsville Beach Park

Wrightsville Beach Park

The sunny Wrightsville Beach Park, conveniently located in the heart of town, is a fantastic destination for an outdoor adventure that doesn't necessarily entail a trip to the beach. Adjacent to the Wrightsville Beach Parks & Recreation's main facilities, the Wrightsville Beach Arboretum, and plenty of wide open green spaces, this park is a perfect spot for enjoying a little free fun in the sun, without the risk of getting sand in the shoes.

Freeman Park

Freeman Park

The northernmost coastal region of Carolina Beach is home to the Freeman Park Recreation Area, a stretch of shoreline that is well known to adventurous, beach-loving 4WD truck owners. Unlike other stretches of the barrier islands off the coast of Wilmington, this park is special because it is completely undeveloped, and allows beach driving to off-roaders who like to cruise along the sand.
