The Carolina Table Salt & Company started as a simple salt venture, with locally grown salt that was used to spice up family pig pickins’ and low country meals like shrimp and grits. Today, the small seasoning company has a brick and mortar location along South College Road, and while the signature seasoning salt is still available, patrons will also find a whopping collection of southern to-go dishes that can be casually enjoyed in-house, or taken home to impress the whole family.

The menu boasts a wide array of items to pack away in the freezer, or dive into on-site or right after you bring it home, and which can include seasonal side items like summer slaw, potato salad and Pimento cheese dip, as well as a wealth of main dishes that are sure to make any food fan smile. Dive into big helpings of Carolina staples like sausage and cheddar grits, tomato pie, or sausage or bacon quiche - which can double as an easy-going breakfast or lunch staple. In addition, patrons can load up on the regionally famous products, which include the famed table salt that adds a bit of southern flavor to any dish. Bijou Park

Bijou Park

Bijou Park is a hidden gem of a "blink and you'll miss it" attraction in Wilmington, and is a perfect spot for weary shoppers and strollers to find a quiet bench, stretch out their legs, and relax. Located in a rare gap in between downtown buildings on 225 N Front St, the park straddles the heart of Downtown Wilmington and a Riverfront parking area, but the section in between is quiet, peaceful, and buffered from the sound of the downtown traffic by the two tall but historic buildings on either side.

Wrightsville Beach Park

Wrightsville Beach Park

The sunny Wrightsville Beach Park, conveniently located in the heart of town, is a fantastic destination for an outdoor adventure that doesn't necessarily entail a trip to the beach. Adjacent to the Wrightsville Beach Parks & Recreation's main facilities, the Wrightsville Beach Arboretum, and plenty of wide open green spaces, this park is a perfect spot for enjoying a little free fun in the sun, without the risk of getting sand in the shoes.
