Firebelly Lounge is a longstanding hang-out for Wilmington’s college crowd. Originally located in the downtown area, and recently moved to its new location along Carolina Beach Road, this restaurant and lounge remains popular for late-night bites, live entertainment, and a little Happy Hour or after-hours fun with friends.

The menu has all the munchies that college students, hungry bar patrons, and everyday food lovers inherently crave, starting with a long line-up of appetizers. Patrons can munch on an assortment of wings with regular, mild or fire tequila sauce, a 9-layer Tex Mex dip, stuffed potato skins, or an overflowing plate of nachos with beef or chicken on top. The rest of the menu straddles the borders of classic pub fare and Mexican food, and includes a nice selection of tacos, burritos, burgers, salads, and house specials like the Firebelly fajitas, baked enchiladas, and “build your own” quesadillas. For something unique, try one of the specialty Faddis, or burritos, which includes unique creations like the Shrimp Po’ Boy burrito and the beer battered horseradish fish burrito. Always a little different, with plenty of food that goes great with an ice cold beer or a shot of tequila, Firebelly Lounge is where good times and good food meet.

Wrightsville Beach Vacation Rentals

While Wrightsville Beach has a collection of hotels and motels, the primary type of accommodations in this region are vacation rentals. There are literally hundreds of vacation rentals in the town of Wrightsville Beach, which are scattered throughout the landscape and are found along the oceanfront, soundfront, and in between waterfront regions in the interior section of the island. Because of the sheer geography of this skinny barrier island, guests in vacation rentals will never be far from the town’s top attractions, which include the local beaches, the waterfront boasting, fishing, and paddling scenes, and the variety of shops and restaurants that are found throughout the area.
