Outdoor living is easy at this perfectly-located, luxurious property in downtown Kure Beach with its 180-
degree ocean views from the sky deck, large covered porch, and patio with firepit. This home is 2 short
blocks from the waves and the pier. On your way to/from the ocean, stop at several wonderful local
restaurants, enjoy ice cream and coffee on the boardwalk, see live music at the Kure Beach Community
Center, fish off the pier, play games at the arcade, or get your energy fix at the local playground, tennis
courts, basketball courts, and more--all seconds away from this gorgeous home!
Take a load off and send your gear up the private elevator to the top floor, where the reverse floorplan
situates you in the wide-open living room, dining room, and kitchen. Cook with amazing ocean views in
the well-appointed chef's kitchen. You'll find entertaining comfortable with the oversized gas range with
2 ovens, extended quartz countertops, purified water system, custom cabinets, large dining table (seats
10), and bar seating for 3. Hardwood floors, large custom windows, and a 50in Smart HDTV make the
living easy on the main floor. Outside the living area awaits the large, covered porch with ocean views
running the width of the home--plenty of room to eat outside and enjoy the sea breeze/crashing waves
on a nice night. Head up the spiral staircase to the sky deck to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or sunset
drink with unobstructed views from the highest rooftop deck on Kure Beach!
Relax in the spacious master bedroom with a King bed, huge (7x10ft) walk-in closet, 32in HDTV, and spa-
inspired bathroom with custom tile, dual vanity, natural light, and large walk-in shower. Down the hall
are 2 guest bedrooms (1 Full; 1 Twin-Over-Full bunk, both with 28in Smart HDTVs) and shared bathroom
with tub. On the ground floor is the second master with Queen bed and 32in Smart HDTV, large closet,
and private bathroom with tub. An additional pull-out Queen sleeper is available on the main living
floor.
Enjoy the sea breeze on the fenced-in downstairs patio, with casual outdoor seating for 4 and gas firepit.
A Weber grill and outdoor shower also are available in the patio area. Inside the spacious 2-car garage,
you’ll find space to park, as well as a “rec room” complete with ping pong, foosball table, 50in Smart
HDTV, table + 4 chairs. In addition to the garage parking, there is dedicated off-street parking for up to 4
cars.
This home is well equipped for families, with a travel high-chair, Pack-n-Play, step stools, toy box (stored
in the garage closet), board games, puzzles, cards, books and children’s plates/bowls/cups/utensils
provided for your convenience. Beach chairs, coolers, beach cart, bocce ball set, beach toys, etc are also
stored in the garage closet and available for use.
This modern home is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi (with routers on each floor), dishwasher and high-
efficiency washer and dryer. All TVs in the home are Smart TVs connected to the internet and allow for
watching live TV via Spectrum cable (bedrooms use the Spectrum app only; living room uses standard
cable box), as well as any number of streaming and subscription services to which you may have access,
such as HBO GO, Roku, Disney+, YouTubeTV, etc.
Forget looking elsewhere and treat yourself to one of the nicest homes on Pleasure Island! Drop your
shoes and worries at the door and indulge in a stress-free getaway with family or friends. Nearby (less
than 10-minute car ride) are the NC Aquarium and Fort Fisher State Park and Recreation Area, the
Southport Ferry, Carolina Beach boardwalk, numerous sport fishing charters, and historic downtown

*Linens and Towels: To help keep the cost down for our guests, this property gives you the option to either bring your own linens and towels or rent them. If you would like to rent the linens, you can select linen sets, a la carte, for $34 plus tax per bed, at check out or when booking with a reservationist. Each linen set includes a fitted sheet, flat sheet, 2 pillowcases, bath towels and with every order a kitchen pack. This way you can choose which beds you want linens for and are not paying for linens you do not need.
If you are looking for more space you can rent the other side of the duplex Casa Azul. The entire property consists of 8 bedrooms and sleeps 22 people and is called Casa Azul Seabbatibal Deluxe

We loved this property and it was great for our whole group (age 6 months to 65 years). It was very well equipped, including a little bucket of toys in the garage that kept my kids entertained all week. The location was great as well and it was easy to run back and forth to the beach. A note for families with babies- the master closet is large enough to fit a pack and play and has ventilation so it was a perfect little �room� for the 6 month old.

Seabbatical is a great vacation rental. Had a fantastic time, thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful ocean views from the deck and crow's nest. Only a 3 minute walk to Kure Beach and some great restaurants.
House is beautifully decorated and has a well stocked kitchen. Elevator was a definite bonus for luggage and groceries.
Looking forward to our next visit to this wonderful beach rental.

My extended family and I (10 in total) stayed here for a long Labor Day weekend and it was the PERFECT place. There was enough room for everyone to sleep, the kitchen was spacious and easy to cook in, there were enough bathrooms for everyone and it was easy to spread out when need be. We particularly loved the outside deck and rooftop deck. It was a short 5 minute walk to the beach and pier and was close to grocery stores, attractions and restaurants. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. I would definitely recommend for big families.

The Seabbatical was nothing short of amazing. Check in was super easy. The house was even more beautiful in person than in pictures. We spent a wonderful family weekend together taking full advantage of the gorgeous full equipped kitchen. One unexpected treat was the garage closet full of beach chairs and toys. Over all I would recommend this house to anyone and will probably try to plan another stay there myself.

This was my second time at this house, and it was a perfect fit for my needs. My son and I spent a long weekend at the house with two other families of four. The house was big enough to accommodate us all and we loved being able to cook and hang out in the open concept kitchen/dining/living room.
With five kids ages four and under, being so close to the beach was very convenient. The burger stand on the main road was a great spot to get take-out lunch after a long morning at the beach. And the local ice cream shop made for a fun treat after dinner.
The view from the top deck is wonderful. At night, it was a great place to relax with a glass of wine and look at the stars.

We LOVED our stay at Seabbattical! The house, which is new, was gorgeous and spacious. We enjoyed eating outside on the deck and evening drinks on the roof top patio. The elevator and garage made transporting groceries and our beach gear in and out of the house a breeze. The location was also incredible: about one block from an ice cream store and restaurants and two blocks from the beach. It was also our first trip to Kure beach, which was charming. We will definitely be returning!

This recently renovated home served as the perfect spot for my family to getaway to Kure Beach. It is perfectly situated only steps from the ocean. Only a short walk to restaurants and ice cream shops, we never had to get in our car once we arrived. Kure Beach is the perfect sized beach town, not over crowded like the beaches to the north.
The house has modern furnishings and everything you need to relax. When we walked into the home it was spotless. That's always a concern with these rentals but the owners clearly take good care of the home.
Our favorite part of the house was the crow's nest. It offers a perfect view of the sun setting over the ocean. It offered a perfect ending to full days at the beach with the family.
I can't recommend this house enough. I actually didn't want to leave such a glowing review because we hope to book Seabbatical next summer and are worried all the weeks will be taken.

This property has everyone you would want for a relaxing, stress-free beach trip. First, the place appears as if the pages of Southern Living have come to life. From the dark hardwood floors, to the tile work in the bathrooms and kitchen, to the tasteful, accommodating décor—everything is in the right place. And it’s utilitarian as well, with an open floor plan in the main living area, three flat-screen TVs, a fully stocked kitchen, a grill, all the beach gear you need, and family friendly (with toddler kitchenware and step stools in the bathrooms).
The views from the third-floor deck and the roof top deck are stunning. You hear and see the ocean, and all of Kure Beach. It’s great being two short blocks from the beach (the walk seems shorter, really) and right on the main drag in Kure Beach. Everything is walkable—several restaurants, the pier, a playground two blocks away both going toward the beach and away from it.
This was the perfect spot for our family. We’re sure to be back.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend at this listing. The house was clean, beautifully decorated/furnished and spacious - plenty of room for the whole family! The kitchen was fully stocked with glassware, dishes and everything you would need to make a meal.
The views from the deck were lovely and the location was absolutely perfect! We a enjoyed a short walk to beach and later to Freddie's for dinner. Would highly recommend this house for a family vacation!
