Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach visitors who want to dive into a truly out of-this-world adventure can sign up for training, classes, and even chartered trips through the exceptionally located Scuba Now. This all-encompassing NAUI (National Association of Underwater Instructors) dive shop has everything from initial certification to gear, ensuring that everyone who wants to take the plunge will be well accommodated.
There are classes available year-round for initial certification, as well as more advanced instruction like Rescue Training and CPR and First Aid. All classes are led by friendly and professional dive experts, and once a beginner has their certification in hand, they can start to plan their first diving trip through Scuba Now as well. All trips take part on board the 2011 “Phoenix” - a 36’ ft. long vessel that has plenty of room and comfort for up to 22 passengers – and once launched, divers can explore a network of wreck sites that are found just offshore, including the Liberty Ship, the Pocahontas, the Figure 8 Tug, and the Dredge Wreck. With big species, including sharks, making regular appearance at these sites, a lesson and charter provided by Scuba Now will be one Cape Fear adventure that water lovers will never forget.
