Tips to get the perfect Sunset Beach rental home experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • To find the most suitable vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have deals for local tours and attractions.

Filter your rental search:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and select a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. 038 Blue Moon by Sunset Vacations has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property management company before reserving your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Tips to have a great stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
