How to book the best Holden Beach vacation property experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the best value, try shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wilmington, NC area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your Search:

  • Start by selecting the best vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. "A Blue Monkey" Oceanfront with a pool, 4 bedroom 4.5 bathroom has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your family.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or could be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a particular Wilmington, NC beach you crave, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

During your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your visit, note any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the property manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
