How to find the best Holden Beach rental experience:

Get the most from your budget:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Holden Beach. Booking in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Planning and picking your prefect Wilmington, NC rental home:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Dog-Friendly House Just Steps From Beach w\/Free WiFi, Central AC, W\/D, Patio has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Wilmington, NC attraction you simply love, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. message the host right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
