Tips and Tricks to get the best Wilmington, NC vacation home experience:

When to book a Wilmington, NC rental home & When to go:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To find the best rental home within budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Wilmington, NC restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Wilmington, NC area visitors guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select your vacation dates and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Due South: 4 Bed \/ 3.5 Bath with 2 Master Suites and 2 Family Rooms has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wilmington, NC vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible online. If not, email or call the property manager before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Wilmington, NC destination you simply love, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • At Check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
