Wrightsville Beach vacation rental booking tips and tricks:

When to visit Wrightsville Beach & When to reserve a Wilmington, NC rental home:

  • Summer months are high season in the Wilmington, NC area. Reserve your Wilmington, NC vacation in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the Wilmington, NC area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many management companies supply Wilmington, NC area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, selecting, and booking the rightvacation home:

  • Choose vacation dates and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Elegant Oceanfront Condo with Pool, Tennis, Cabana has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking websites. If not, email the host before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what is suitable for your vacation.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Know before you go:

  • Add the host's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • During check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
