Family home with handsome vistas of the ocean and maritime forest. Upon arrival, you will enter a sitting room ideal for appreciating a book, a peaceful moment to yourself or the tranquility the island offers. This mail floor contains 4 bedrooms (2K, 1Q, 2BB with sleeper couch). The lower floor offers 2 more bedrooms (1K, 1Q) as well as the laundry room and access to the garage (4 4 seater carts - 2 carts new within 2 years). Each bedroom in the home has its own bathroom. The garage also contains bicycles and beach chairs (number and sizes not guaranteed). The garage walks out to a enormous outdoor deck which backs up to the protected maritime forest. The back deck contains an outside shower as well as space for cornhole or other backyard games.

The home offers an inverted floor ideal for taking in handsome ocean and forest vistas. There is plenty of living space on the top floor with a sizable screen TV and a dining table that comfortably seats 8 though we often pull up chairs and add more people! The kitchen offers all the necessities (including new microwave and cookware) plus a modest wine or drink refrigerator and 2 coffee machines (1 is a Keurig). The kitchen island seats 6 - a great place for beverages while preparing for dinner or painless access to feeding kids! There is another seating area ideal for reading, calming or remote work - if that is necessary. The seating area opens to a back deck with a grille and overlooking the forest. There are stairs leading to a rooftop deck which features new outdoor furnishings ideal for enjoying sunrises, sunsets, and everything in between! The front deck includes a dining table for six, a high top drink table and various seating options and offers beautiful vistas of the beach.

About the Area

This vacation home is located in Bald Head Island. Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Kent Mitchell Nature Trail and The Clubs at St. James. North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport and Bald Head Island Information Center are also worth visiting.
