Sea Trail, a neighborhood in Sunset Beach, is home to this condo. Cherry Grove Pier and Rees Jones Golf Course are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Ingram Planetarium and Museum of Coastal Carolina. Tips and Tricks to get the best Sunset Beach rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Wilmington, NC area. To get the most suitable rental home within your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Wilmington, NC restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.

More tips for your visit:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • At Check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to compel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
