  • Condo
  • Approximately 1000 square feet

Handsome and clean three bedroom, two bath condo with simple walk to beach! One of three community pools is right beside the building and there are three tennis courts close by. There is also a private oceanfront pool and beach access for Starboard owners and guests only that is an painless walk from the condo. If you wish to rent a golf cart you must plug it directly into the outlet under the building. No extension cords are allowed. And it must be parked in a parking space, not on the grass or other location.

The building is located near a lagoon and has a enormous open field where kids can play and parents can keep an eye on them from the condo's back balcony. The condo is on the second (top) floor so there's no noise from above.

The condo, while in a peaceful community, is less than a mile from the hustle and bustle of the center of the island where the concerts, eateries and stores, park and pier are located. Starboard by the Sea is a roomy community with open fields for kids to play.

The family room and dining area are centrally located and are flanked by the three bedrooms, two full baths and kitchen. The master bedroom and the bedroom with two double beds have an ensuite bathroom. The bathroom for the bedroom with two double beds is also accessible from the hall. There is a sizable outdoor deck with a table and chairs that overlooks the pool and tennis courts. There is a back balcony that overlooks the huge, open field and lagoon.

There are two assigned parking spaces under the building with an overflow lot beside the building for additional cars.

Please remember to bring sheets and towels!

Tips and Tricks to get the very best Wilmington, NC rental experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Booking in Fall or Spring months is a great way to save on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wilmington, NC area visitor guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose the perfect vacation home in Ocean Isle Beach:

  • Start by selecting your a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration you need. SPECIAL APRIL RATES! Close to Beach-Great Amenities Sleeps 9 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property management company before reserving the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • Does your group require unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • At Check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many problems.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
