Booking the best Carolina Beach rental home experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To find the best rental within your budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies supply Wilmington, NC area visitor guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and picking the bestrental:

  • Begin by selecting vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Pearl Paradise: with elevator & golf cart included! 2 blocks to beach. has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking websites. If not, email or call the host before booking the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many issues.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Call the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
