Tips and Tricks to get the best Carolina Beach vacation rental experience:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • Summer is high season in Carolina Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wilmington, NC area visitors guides which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning and picking the perfectvacation home:

  • To start, have your group decide on date ranges and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. 5% Off Spring Discount! Spacious Pet Friendly Beach House, Gourmet Kitchen, Great For a Large Group has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the host before reserving your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's an individual Wilmington, NC beach you are enamored with, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

Know before you go:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the rental manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to stimulate new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
