Tips for getting the best Wrightsville Beach vacation property experience:

When to go & When to reserve a rental home:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Wrightsville Beach. Booking your Wilmington, NC vacation rental in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Wilmington, NC area visitor guides which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and pick the perfectvacation home:

  • Choose your vacation week and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Renovated 3 Bedroom TownHome in The Heart of Wrightsville Beach has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property manager before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out which bed configuration is right for your family.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.

During your stay:

  • Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Document any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
