  • Private vacation home

We are thrilled to share our beach home with you! Our home has a clean, modern, beachy feel. The light and bright refreshed kitchen has white cabinets, stainless steel appliances , and handsome quartz countertops. It also has seating at the counter / peninsula. The dining room seats 8 at the table with 2 additional people at the close by counter. We have decorated with new curtains, light fixtures, and art. The entire home has been repainted with a bright but calm sandy yellow downstairs and a calming blue upstairs. The downstairs is all open and supports huge family gatherings. A new 65 inch TV hangs on the wall and supports all your streaming subscriptions. There is a nice work area for someone with a laptop and high speed internet. The living room opens onto a deck that has a seating area and currently has a picnic table as well.

The home has 4 bedrooms. There are 2 downstairs. One has a king size bed and TV. In order to fit the bigger bed, this room is a little bit tight, but it has a sizable dresser and a smaller dresser, but no closet. There are still some hooks for hanging clothes. The second bedroom has a queen bed, dresser, and TV. A Jack and Jill bath connects the two rooms and has a enormous shower. Additionally, there is a half bath that guests have access to, so no one needs to enter a bedroom to get bathroom access with is a big plus with our place compared to others.

Upstairs, there is a bedroom with a limited ocean view, queen bed, tv, and dresser and a second bedroom with 2 twin beds and full bunk bed, dresser, and TV. A Jack and Jill bath also connects these two bedrooms. This bathroom has a tub/shower combination.

Outside, savor the ocean breeze on the porch; it is especially nice for breakfast or late in the evenings. If you want to be outside and need to stay cool, appreciate the comfortable cool area under the home. There are chairs for hanging out, a table for eating an outside meal, and a gas grille for cooking. Play a game of cornhole (in shed) or take a snooze in one of the two hammocks. After coming back from the beach, full of sand, there is an outdoor shower with changing area and hot and cold water for you to enjoy. In the enclosed shed, there is access to beach chairs, noodles, and even a beach wagon so you can conveniently transport your items the short walk down the beach access path.

Also outside, there is a modest shared yard space right next to the home if kids need a place close by to run around. There are 2 pools but one is just down the street and very close. There is also access to a community dock for fishing, hanging out, or kayaking (units available). Island park is a great place to ride bicycles as well.

The best part about this home is that it is just 60 steps to beach access. You cross the street and beach access is RIGHT THERE. It is very simple to come and go as needed throughout the day without feeling like you have to pack for the whole day and worry about needed bathroom trips. One can walk back to the home in just a couple mins..

Some people like to rent a golf carts to get access to the impressive opportunities that exist right off the bridge (although you can drive and pay to park at the pier). There is mini golf, a splash pad, concert area, arcade games, pier, fishing, food, museum, beach stores, and an superb kids's playground.

Our home comes equipped with everything you need and if you don't see it, let us know and we will see if we can get for your next trip! We have TV's in every room that can access all streaming subscriptions. We are not providing linens for health reasons, however, there are some comforters available in the home to be used if needed (just wash and return when done).

NEW for 2023 - Rent linens from cleaner and they will put them on beds for your at no additional charge. Contact me for details.

Shibumi Shade Rental (Generous size) - we now rent a Shibumi shade for our guests. Price is $10 per nighttime of reservation (this is less expensive than local units).

Ocean Isle Beach vacation rental tips and tricks:

Sticking to your rental budget:

  • The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking your Wilmington, NC vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Choosing the best rental home:

  • Start by having your family decide on a vacation week and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Updated & Beachy Modern Design only 60 steps from beach access! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wilmington, NC vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible online. If not, email or call the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your family.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
  • If there's an individual Wilmington, NC beach you love, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

During your stay:

  • Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • During arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
