Big Daddy’s Restaurant is a classic Kure Beach establishment that has been feeding hungry vacationers since 1970. A popular destination due to its long legacy as a central seafood-focused restaurant, Big Daddy’s serves up big platters of seafood, sandwiches, and other beach fare that’s varied enough to cater to parties of all ages and tastes.
The restaurant is located just a couple block away from the oceanfront along Fort Fisher Blvd. which makes it a pretty easy destination for visitors in the heart of the Kure Beach shoreline. Though the exterior and interior has changed since it first opened to beach patrons, the menu features a number of classic coastal staples, including big combo platters that can include flounder, catfish, Ahi Tuna, oysters, scallops, crab cake, and Mahi. There are also a few more elevated dishes on the menu, including Lobster Mac and Cheese, and Oysters Rockefeller in the appetizers section, as well as some more down-home options, like shrimp and grits, and the big Steam Pot for 2, which includes Alaskan snow crab legs, shrimp, clams, andouille sausage, corn on the cob, and boiled potatoes. From casual to slightly more refined, everyone can find something that grabs their attention at this decades-old Kure Beach restaurant.
