The brick-lined walls are painted with pop images, and a handful of outdoor seating allows patrons to step outside after ordering and enjoy the sun. The menu features a regular host of traditional coffee house drinks, as well as ever-changing specials which are always worth a look, and which can include sweet favorites like Butterscotch Toffee, Mocha Java, and Snickerdoodle, in addition to fruit smoothies and frappes. There’s also a collection of baked goodies, like muffins, bagels, and strudel, that can add easily cure a snack-sized appetite. With a friendly staff, lots of variety, and a chic atmosphere that’s literally for the dogs, Java Dog is a cool option for canines and their human companions to enjoy the heart of Downtown Wilmington.
