Southport is well known for its collection of art galleries, antique stores, and vintage shops, and visitors can enjoy a full sample of everything this coastal town has to offer in the “treasure hunting” arena with a visit to the Northrop Antiques Mall. Featuring roughly 38 different dealers and vendors all found under one roof, this antique emporium is an all-encompassing spot for shoppers to find a myriad of eclectic items and priceless collectables.
The Northrop Antiques Mall is located in a historic brick building along central Howe Street that’s distinguished for its angled rooftop and forest-green storefront and awning. It’s a vintage look to be sure, and is a good indication of the vast array of ancient treasures that are found inside.
Because so many dealers are represented in different “stations” throughout the building, antique fans and shoppers will find a huge range of goodies, including old bottles and glassware, vintage books, artworks and prints, furnishings, glassware, and more. There’s also more modern treasures, including handmade crafts, bath and beauty products, and perishables, which makes the site appealing to shoppers of all tastes. With so much to explore from top to bottom, the Northrop Antiques Mall will be a favorite Southport destination for visitors of all tastes and styles.
