Tips to get the best vacation property experience:

Find your best deal:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the best value, shift your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Wilmington, NC area travel guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning, selecting, and booking yourvacation home:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • RC304 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property owner before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's an individual Wilmington, NC attraction you simply love, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Upon arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a fantastic time? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
