Heaven West, located at 100 West Second Street in The Resort at OIB, is a gorgeously decorated and roomy five-bedroom, five-bathroom vacation home just steps from the beach. Located on a prime corner lot, this opulent property offers partial ocean vistas and painless beach access, making it an ideal getaway for families. Designed with comfort and convenience in mind, the home features a reverse floor plan and includes two master bedrooms, each with a king-size bed.

The top floor serves as the main living area, offering a enormous, open-concept space with a 70” Intelligent TV, fireplace, and a completely equipped modern kitchen that includes two full-size fridges. The first floor provides a second living area with a 65” Intelligent TV, wet bar, and mini-refrigerator. An elevator gives access to all levels, and there is central heating and air, a high-efficiency washer and dryer, dishwasher, microwave, blender, Keurig and regular coffeemaker, and Wi-Fi throughout.

Savor your time outdoors with a private 12x24 pool, a tiki bar featuring a sizable screen TV, sink, and mini-refrigerator, two covered outdoor dining areas (one on the deck with a partial ocean view and one by the pool), as well as two outdoor showers. The home also offers huge breezy decks on both levels, complete with fresh outdoor furnishings for calming in the shade or sun. A dedicated golf cart charging outlet is available, and keyless entry makes check-in simple.

All five bedrooms are equipped with Intelligent TVs, bringing the total number of TVs in the home to eight—including one in each bedroom, the two living areas, and the tiki bar. While cable is not supplied, guests can stream content using their own accounts. The home is also “handicap friendly” and includes a queen-size Murphy bed in the lower-level living area.

Sleeping arrangements include a king and a queen bedroom on the top floor, a second king master on the lower level along with another queen bedroom, and a bunk room with three sets of twin bunk beds (six total beds).

Please note that linens are not included, so guests will need to bring their own sheets, pillowcases, towels, washcloths, paper products, and soaps. Pillows and bedspreads are supplied.

As a guest of The Resort at OIB, you’ll have access to the private oceanfront clubhouse, which includes a pool, private beach access, a bath area, and a crab dock. The heart of Ocean Isle Beach, with its eateries and attractions, is only a short ten-min. walk away. This is a non-smoking, no-pet property.

Finding the best vacation property experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • Booking your Wilmington, NC vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • In the Wilmington, NC area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Finding the best rental home in Ocean Isle Beach:

  • Start by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Coastal Beach Retreat w\/Pool, Tiki Bar & Ocean Views - Access to Resort @ OIB has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property manager before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is right for your vacation.
  • If there's a particular Wilmington, NC beach you love, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • At Check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
