*The home is striking inside & out. Everything is quality, elegantly decorated & very roomy. My oldest granddaughter Cora asks me throughout the year, “grandma, when are we going back to your beach home.” ????
*The owners provide linens, the best bath towels & pool towels. I adore not having to make the beds when we arrive.
*They also furnish trash bags, soaps in the bathrooms, paper products, dishwasher detergent, sponge, Dawn, items for washer & dryer.

When you enter Carolina Sunset, your first thought may very well be, "This does not look like a rental property, it looks like a home." We designed and decorated the home to give it a 'Welcome home' feel because we want you to savor your vacation at the beach and still feel at home.

Located in charming Ocean Isle Beach, NC, this alluring 5BR, 5BA home offers prestige and privacy on a enormous corner lot in the peaceful Summer Place subdivision located on the west end of the island. Guests, especially those with kids, will appreciate the sizable fenced and landscaped backyard lawn and sizable private pool (32X14) with 6 chaise lounges and 6 Adirondack chairs for pool seating. A picnic table with umbrella at the pool seats 8. Beach access is directly across the street from the subdivision entrance and is only a 4 min. walk.

A Widow's Walk offers a expansive view of the entire island. The colorful Tiki Bar area in the breezeway offers covered outdoor seating and dining for everybody in your event and is connected by a safety gate to the pool area. The propane grille has 5 burners and is conveniently located in the Tiki Bar area.

The home has multiple additional outdoor areas. A huge deck off the kitchen/family room has an umbrella and a table for 4, with additional seating for 6. This deck overlooks the pool. A screened porch off the upstairs master bedroom and overlooking the pool, accepts mom and dad (or Grandiose Ma and Grand Dad) a little privacy while they relax with their favorite drink. Six rocking chairs on the front porch offer a place to gather and enjoy the sunsets.

Wood and Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) floor are throughout the home. The kitchen has all stainless appliances and a huge sink plus granite countertops. The laundry closet has front loading full sized Samsung (2022) HE washer and dryer. The large pool was newly (2022) drained, sanded, refinished and painted in a exhilarating shade called Bikini Blue. A golf cart charging outlet is conveniently located in the breezeway.

Covered parking for 2 cars in the breezeway. Additional parking for 4 cars in the driveway. Cable TV and WiFi are included. The home has two central A/C units, one for each floor, both are now equipped with Aerus Space technology air scrubbers to kill viruses in the circulated air.

As of Fall of 2023, one of the king beds and all of the full beds have new beds and box springs, the bed in another king has a bed and box springs which are less than 2 year old and the final king's bed and springs are less than 3 year's old. Each bedroom is connected to a private bath. All bathrooms have walk-in showers. All bedrooms have ceiling fans, flat screen TVs, as does the family room. The family room has a intelligent TV and DVD. Two bedrooms are on the main floor (one king and one with two full size) and each of these rooms has a door leading from the bedroom out to the front porch overlooking the street. There are three bedrooms on the second floor. One king with private screened porch, another king with a desk/chair, and one with two full size. The home is less than three quarters of a mile from a very fashionable miniature golf course, the fishing/sightseeing pier, Pelican's Perch Bar and Grille, the Ocean Isle Creamery Ice Cream Shoppe and Sunset Slushie Italian Ice. Jinks Creek Waterfront Grille and Tiki Bar, which has the most spectacular vistas of the sunset, is also less than one mile, and an simple walk, from the home. Guests can beat the traffic with the same short walk to the outdoor concerts and dances held every Friday nighttime during the summer season. 

The area is a golfer's heaven with over 25 amazing courses within 20 miles.  Ocean Isle Beach is convenient to the Historic Riverfront District in Wilmington, NC where the USS North Carolina Battleship Memorial and Civil War forts can be toured (approx. 40 miles to the north) and the many theaters, eateries and amusements of North Myrtle Beach/Myrtle Beach, SC (approx. 37 miles to the south).

This handsome home re-entered the rental market in 2018 after being refreshed and used only as the owner's second home for the previous 13 years. Sleeps up to 10 adults or a max. of 14 total with kids. More than 50% of our guests come back the next year. Many book a year in advance.

No smoking is allowed in the home, on the master bedroom porch, the front porch or in the breezeway Tiki Bar area. No family pets of any kind. Families only. No golf groups or spring breakers.

Weekly units for this property are SATURDAY TO SATURDAY ONLY. No Sunday to Sunday units. All rates listed on this site are current only for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. Prices for stays beginning after September 2025 will be posted when available.
