We are the left half of this handsome duplex. Four levels with an elevator, designed for relaxation and inspiration. Pie Seas sleeps up to 14 and is your base camp for family, friends, and fun. Just a short walk to the beach to get your daily dose of vitamin D or take a walk-up to the top-level observation deck to do the same. You will find a “beach” wagon in the ground level closet by the front door to wheel the chairs, umbrella, and beach toys we have included to play in the sand.

The ground level features a game room with foosball table, board games, puzzles, and a huge flat screen TV to hang with should afternoon showers keep you inside. This ground floor also has a full bedroom with bathroom and a pull-out couch to sleep four on this level.

Just a short elevator ride or up one flight of stairs, you will be in the main living area. Wood floors complement this elegantly and newly decorated open floor plan. The furnishings is casual and comfortable with a “mid-century meets boho” vibe, playful art and designed for family time. The kitchen is outfitted with all the appliances and gadgets to express your culinary best. The adjacent covered porch has Adirondack chairs, a dining table with chairs and a cool breeze. A primary bedroom suite with a king bed is at the end of the hall.

On the third level is the grandiose primary bedroom suite with a king bed and sitting area for TV viewing. The bathroom has a soaking tub, shower, and double vanities. The generous closet will conveniently accommodate your vacation wardrobe. Just outside is a sun deck with chaise lounge chairs to get that tan in a more private setting. At the other end of the hall is a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds, each with a task light with USB port to keep the kiddos entertained.

“Pie in the Sky” is the name for our crow’s nest. Two single beds on this level make for a great spot to read or watch TV. An under-counter refrigerator is supplied to keep your refreshments cold. You can step out on the observation deck to watch the sun set, spy on the neighbors, appreciate a cool breeze, or just hang. Do this after dark, and you can stargaze to your heart’s content!

Rental home booking tips and tricks:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is a great way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Some hosts offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

How to pick the best vacation rental:

  • Start by having your group commit to trip dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. New Listing - 4 bedroom with elevator, dog friendly! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. If not, email or call the host before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Wilmington, NC destination you are enamored with, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

During your stay:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
