How to get the best Ocean Isle Beach vacation home experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the best value, try changing your family's Wilmington, NC vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • First and foremost, have your family select a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Nothing Beats Ocean Front! - Great Views - Direct beach access - Many updates has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wilmington, NC rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or could be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's an individual Wilmington, NC beach you are crazy about, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the rental manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Upon check-out, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to drive new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
