Tips for getting the perfect vacation rental experience:

When to visit Ocean Isle Beach & When to reserve a rental home:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Ocean Isle Beach. To get the best rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Wilmington, NC attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • In the Wilmington, NC area, The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies supply Wilmington, NC area travel guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing and booking a perfect Wilmington, NC rental:

  • To start, have your family commit to vacation dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Oceanfront 6 BR\/6.5 B w\/ Private Pool & Hot Tub, Sleeps 18 has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve your home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what is optimal for your vacation family.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.

Know before you go:

  • Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Upon arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
