Tips to get the perfect Wilmington, NC rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • In the Wilmington, NC area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer is high season in the Wilmington, NC area. Booking in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property managers often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Wilmington, NC area visitor guide magazines which include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting the perfect rental in Carolina Beach:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. *Oceanfront*Pet-friendly*Pier Views*2 Pools* Near North End Pier & Freeman Park has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you book your rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Advice for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
