Walking distance to the beach, boardwalk and just across the street from the CB Lake, the location couldn't be better. Add in the private pool / hot tub / backyard getaway and this home will be a ideal hideaway for a enormous or mutigenerational family - or even two families wishing to travel together.

The main floor (2nd) includes a great open concept living/dining/kitchen with a fireplace and intelligent TV with high speed fiber internet access and YouTube TV supplied. Bring your own app PWs to stream all your other favorites. Savor a calming swing on the covered front porch after a day at the beach or in the backyard pool.

Also on the main floor are a private master suite as well as a second king bedroom and a fun bunk room for the kids. All bedrooms have intelligent TVs with internet access and YouTube TV supplied. Bring your own app PWs to stream all your other favorites.

Four legged family is welcome to join you and will appreciate the fenced backyard. The home also has parking for multiple cars (3-4).

The first floor "pool home" is roughly finished and makes a great spot for a kids hangout - with a sitting/TV area, kitchenette and full bath. There is actually an additional queen bedroom in this space not counted in the total bed/baths since this space isn't the same level of quality as the main floor (noted as "office" in detailed description). This could be a great additional room for a teen that prefers their own space.

The backyard getaway is complete with a private pool (3-5 ft deep), hot tub, grassy play area, covered and uncovered sitting areas with Polywood furnishings and pool loungers. The gas grille and kitchenette in the downstairs "pool home" make a fast dinner simple and fun. There is even a intelligent TV to have movies under the stars in the evenings. :)

Walk to the lake (2 mins) for summer market on Saturday mornings and family movies on Sunday evenings. 12-14 min walk to the boardwalk for summer carnival rides, fireworks as well as dinner or special treats. 10 min walk to the beach, or even faster if you choose to bring your bicycles or golf cart with you!

We think our place will help you experience everything Carolina Beach has to offer. This is actually our primary residence and we are sharing it with guests for the first time in 2025 summer season! Please see our other listing for an idea of what our guests say about us as hosts. :)

Tricks and tips to get the very best Wilmington, NC vacation home experience:

Get the best value:

  • To book the most suitable rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Wilmington, NC attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wilmington, NC area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Finding the best vacation home:

  • Start by selecting potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Pet friendly single family 3BR/2BA home with private pool and hot tub! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking pages. If not, email or call the host before you book the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your family.
  • Visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Additional considerations:

  • Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas during check in. Contact the rental manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
