Seasaw Cottage is a exceptional 5-bedroom home on the North end of Wrightsville Beach! The home offers multiple areas for you to gather with friends and families, a crow’s nest with vistas of the entire island, and is a short walk from both ocean and sound access.

On the ground level of the home, guests will find a covered outdoor lounge with seating for all and a TV and game area. There is also an enclosed rec room with a TV and full bathroom in this area, so kids and parents can all be in the same area while appreciating their own space. The outdoor stairs lead from this area to both other floors of the home.

On the main level, you’ll find the open concept kitchen, dining room, and den. This is a great space for everybody to gather while you create incredible meals in the completely outfitted kitchen. There are also three bedrooms on this floor. The first has a queen bed, a TV, and a private bathroom. The other two bedrooms have 2 twin beds and 1 queen bed, respectively, their own TVs, and share access to a full bathroom in the hallway. Off of the kitchen there is access to a “playroom” above the garage, which has 2 twin beds and a 75in TV, and acts as another bedroom.

The top floor holds a huge living room that has an 85in TV, tons of seating, and all the games and puzzles you could ask for. This room gets fantastic light, has vistas of the Intracoastal waterway, and is the ideal spot to bring everybody together for movie nighttime or a rainy day in. There is a full-size pull-out couch in this room. The primary bedroom is also on this floor, and has a king bed, TV, and private bathroom with a walk-in shower and a soaking tub!

The real jewel of the home is the rooftop crow’s nest, accessible via the outdoor stairs that also reach each level’s deck. Here you’ll have 360 vistas of the entire North end of the island, including ocean, sound, and marsh vistas.

The home is a 2-min. walk from the closest beach access (access #9), and from the closest sound access. It’s less than a mile from the center of the island, where you’ll find superb eateries and stores. With all it has to offer, Seasaw Cottage is the ideal place for your family’s next vacation!

How to find the best Wrightsville Beach vacation rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. Reserve your rental home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many property management companies supply Wilmington, NC area travel guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Select your vacation week and spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Seasaw Cottage - 5 bedroom pet friendly home on Wrightsville Beach has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wilmington, NC rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is usually available online. Otherwise, call the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the property manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
