About this Property

  • Sleeps 9
  • 3 Bedrooms
  • 2 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 1500 square feet

This home is filled with all the amenities you could want. We've just installed the very best whole-home water softner and dechlorinater and added a king sized bed and a bigger intelligent tv in the living room. The linens and towels are supplied and of top quality. In wall vacuum and walk in showers, this one floor home is top notch.

With the ocean out your front door and the lake, eateries, coffee stores and boardwalk out your back door (not to mention farmers market, live music and even outdoor movie nights), it's impossible to find a better location than this first floor oceanfront home on a peaceful one way street.

You'll have a boardwalk from your sliding glass doors straight to the waves, and when you've had enough sun and sand you can walk Carolina Beach boardwalk, sip an iced coffee or eat ice cream in the shade. The summer carnival with Ferris Wheel and other rides is a short walk down the sand to the left, and to the right is a beach bar where you can sip drinks on an elevated pier.

You'll see the Carolina beach fireworks from your front porch every Thursday in summer, and in the winter a glance up the beach from your rocker will show you the Christmas lights on the boardwalk where every Friday Santa offers hot chocolate to visitors.

HOME DESCRIPTION

The 3br/2ba home is brand new and decorated in a modern style. We've put a brand new king size bed in the master, and a new queen bed in the second bedroom. Comfy! No family pets, no smoking and no carpet means it's good for people with allergies, and the open plan modern kitchen is a enjoyment to prepare in while still gazing out the windows to the ocean (please note that we've added more silverware and cookware at the request of previous guests).

The master bedroom has windows to the ocean, a delicious king size bed and a enormous walk in tiled shower with bench. The two guest bedrooms, one with a new queen bed and a second with sizable bunk bed and double sized trundle (room sleeps 5) share a modern bathroom with window. Both rooms have vistas to the lake. The home is located on a peaceful one way street. You can rent bicycles and pedal anywhere on the island.

Intelligent tvs, blueray DVD player, internet, full sized washer and dryer, dishwasher, garbage disposal, keruig coffee maker -- all the amenities! We just upgraded the T.V. in the living room to a bigger intelligent tv.

Close by there are paddle board units, surf lessons, bicycles and kayak tours. There are also fishing guides and boat tours available from the harbor a half mile away. Drive down to the aquarium or take the ferry to Southport of the afternoon and have a seafood lunch on the water after walking through historic streets.

Sheets and towels are supplied. Please bring beach towels, beach toys and chairs.

Please note, as stated above, the home is the first floor only. It is cavernous and private, but note that the top two floors (with a separate front door) are occupied by long term renters.

Saturday is our preferred check in and out day over the high season, and normally we cannot stray from that.

Tips and Tricks to get the very best rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Wilmington, NC area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • To find the best value, try changing your family's Wilmington, NC vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain discounts for local tours and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Begin by choosing your trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Sleek and Modern Oceanfront home: walk to restaurants and boardwalk! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your trip.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

More tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
