About this Property

  • Sleeps 14
  • 5 Bedrooms
  • 5 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 2300 square feet

The home has four floors of open flowing space in which to relax and savor beach living with your family. We just landscaped the back yard for family entertainment. Three hole Putting Green, corn-hole and outdoor cooking is ready for you.

Our home is well cleaned and CDC compliant.
During the Summer -June July and August, we do Saturday to Saturday weekly units. Linens and five sets of towels are supplied during weekly summer units.
Other times of the year can be two or more nighttime units and you would bring your own linens and towels. (Angie's Linens does units.)

The well equipped kitchen has Mission cabinets, a generous center island and granite counter tops. Extensive kitchen table can seat ten people and the island seats another three at counter island stools. There is an under counter second ice maker, SS Microwave, toaster oven, blender, wine glasses and all amenities for your family and friends.

The kitchen overlooks the two story great room with twenty feet of cavernous picture windows facing westward over the back deck, and the canal waterway.

One of our favorite times on the deck is first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee, or towards dinner time with appetizers and a glass of wine - talking about your laid back day spent on the white sands at the beach, or round of golf, tennis pickleball, or fishing.

The Great room has a 65 inch Sony TV streaming YouTube TV with wireless internet for your convenience. Our internet service is Spectrum. DVD player is available and connected to the TV. There are TVs in two other bedrooms.

Convenient beach access with showers is just a short walk away - roughly 400 yards. Additionally, car and golf cart parking is available is desired or necessary. (Travelers can rent a golf cart on the island if desired).

There are many options for runners, and walkers while at OIB with sidewalks galore and natural walkways numerous miles long located on the East end inland. From our home, my favorite run is to take a Left on Second street, headed east then all the way down to the end of the island, turning toward the inter coastal and running to the gazebo. That is 2.2 miles. Then bring it back... If you run the 'point to point Island Run' from our driveway to the East end, then go all the way to the west end and back to our home, this is a 11 mile route.

Ocean Isle Recreation Park & Tennis is on Georgetown Road:
One mile north of the bridge. Turn there and go 1 mile for 8 hard surface tennis courts with windscreens and water there.
PICKLEBALL: OIB is all in and has six nice permanent pickleball courts just behind the tennis courts .
Nice kids's play area as well.: Brunswick County has more than 40 courses and this is before you get to the Myrtle Beach area. Our favorites are The Thistle, Panther's Run, Lions Paw, Carolina National GC, Crow Creek, Farmstead, Cape Fear National, the Pearl West, Sandpiper.

There are multiple fishing charters at Ocean Isle Beach for both inland (intracoastal inland) fishing or off shore fishing. Or bring your boat with you. the dock will accommodate a boat up to 28 feet.

About the Area

Located in Ocean Isle Beach, this vacation home is on the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Ocean Isle Beach and Holden Beach. Traveling with kids? Consider Museum of Coastal Carolina and Ingram Planetarium. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Tips to get the perfect Wilmington, NC vacation home experience:

Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Wilmington, NC area. Book your rental home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Wilmington, NC area travel guides which often include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking a perfect Wilmington, NC rental:

  • Select dates and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Unique Canal Home: Resort Back Yard w Putting Green & Dock. has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, email the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.

Have a great stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a wonderful stay? Most rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
