Tips to get the perfect vacation property experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Carolina Beach rental home:

  • In the Wilmington, NC area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summertime is high season in Carolina Beach. Book your vacation in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wilmington, NC area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to choose and book your Wilmington, NC vacation home:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Stunning new home with ocean views & elevator! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wilmington, NC rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.

During your stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas during check in. E-mail the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your life at home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
