  • Private vacation home

Welcome to the Twin Tides II getaway. One of two of our unique side-by-side properties on the ICWW with a private pier and dock- with a slip available to our avid boaters. 180 vistas of the ICWW and Atlantic Ocean can be seen from double decker porches. Minutes away from Carolina Beach, the NC Fort Fisher Aquarium, the NC Battleship, golf courses or downtown Wilmington. This home spared no expense to really make it a getaway to visit time and time again. You will appreciate this peninsula property that sits on the edge of your own private heaven.

Vistas of pristine non-developed Masonboro Island can be seen from nearly every room of the home and the impressive wrap around porch. Appreciate your own private beach by kayak and make a day out of visiting Masonboro Island. Savor the pier and dock to play, swim, fish, or just relax if water sports aren’t your thing. Pier is shared with neighboring sister property.

Home features a master upstairs and downstairs. It also features a laundry room upstairs and downstairs making life easier while on vacation. While you have vistas of the intracoastal waterway from the front of the home, savor back yard vistas of the marsh and all she has to offer. This property is on the very end of a peninsula which accepts these rare vistas. Few properties can have the both of best worlds- and we’re one of them!

There is also a sandbar that appears at low-tide that kids appreciate. This is great for kids to catch a hermit crab or go clamming and experience some of the coastal lifestyle.

We have board games and toys and even a pack-n-play to try to accommodate all families.

Book our sister home, Twin Tides I, next door for a family reunion where you can expect the same great vistas and accommodations.

House has freshly gotten more updating and some newer furnishings has been added, but you can expect the same great quality. You will adore this peninsula paradise!!!!

Our top Wilmington vacation rental home tips:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer time is high season in the Wilmington, NC area. To get the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wilmington, NC area visitors guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and choose a perfectvacation home:

  • To start, have your group select date ranges and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Twin Tides II has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wilmington, NC rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before booking your home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • During check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
