Getting the best Ocean Isle Beach vacation rental experience:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • In the Wilmington, NC area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Summer is high season in the Wilmington, NC area. To book the most suitable rental for your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Wilmington, NC attractions.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Start by selecting trip dates and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 4bd Canal Front home with an Elevator, dock, fenced back yard, 2 master suites has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available online. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • During check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
