Strategies for getting the perfect Carolina Beach rental home experience:

When to book a Wilmington, NC rental home & When to go:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Wilmington, NC area. To get the best value, consider changing your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies supply Wilmington, NC area visitors guides that include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to pick the best vacation rental in Carolina Beach:

  • First and foremost, have your group commit to vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Beach, Please! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before booking the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what bed configuration is right for your vacation family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
  • Upon check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
