With striking pine paneling, tons of character, and appealing décor, this inviting home features both ocean and sound vistas. The first-floor downstairs ensuite bedroom (Queen/2 twins) has its own private entrance, and an inside doored entry to the staircase leading to the upper main floor, where the other two additional ensuite bedrooms (King, 2 Queens) are located (all shower only).
The open concept main floor - living room, dining room, and kitchen - accepts for families to savor being together inside, and extends outside onto the porch, where one can appreciate the sights and sounds of both sky (birds, clouds, stars) and ocean (ships, wildlife, surf) from the covered or uncovered sections of the deck. The home is in a ideal location to enjoy bicycle rides to the West End’s The Point, where many gather in the evenings to take in the glorious sunsets. Or a fast 5-min. walk across the street to enjoy a craft beer, pub food, live music and corn-hole at The Lone Rider Tap Room. And with the Beach Pantry a 7-min. drive away, and another 5 mins. to the Pier for fishing or the oceanfront’s only fine dining restaurant, Island Way, along with the supply of games, puzzles and a huge collection of books, you will never want to leave! Of course, for those needing it, high-speed internet is included.
About the Area
Located on the beach, this vacation home is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Oak Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Oak Island Golf Club and The Reserve Golf Club at St. James Plantation. Traveling with kids? Consider North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport and Magic Mountain Fun Park. Scuba diving and fishing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with horse riding and cycling nearby.
