Our home is a 2,600 square foot home containing 4 bedrooms and five bathrooms! There are water vistas on each side...the intracoastal waterway on one side, and the canal on the other. The home has wood floors throughout and roomy living areas. There are new flatscreen tvs in 3 of the bedrooms and in the living room. This is a great place to gather with your family and has one of the best sunset vistas I've ever seen.

Rental home tips:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Holden Beach. Reserve your Wilmington, NC rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain coupons for local shops and restaurants.

How to choose the perfect rental home:

  • Start by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Beautiful House located on a scenic street between the Waterway and Canals has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wilmington, NC rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible online. If not, contact the property owner before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Does your family require unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the host's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Document any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
