A ferry ride from Southport will take you to Fort Fisher & a short drive will take you to Fort Anderson/Brunswick Town which has fascinating history. Brunswick Nature Park for a hike is a few miles away along with the impressive park and nature trail of Belville not far. The heartwarming river walk in Wilmington is an added additional to the many attractions of the city.
