Strategies to get the best Wilmington, NC vacation rental experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Booking your Wilmington, NC vacation home in Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to pick the best vacation rental in Wilmington:

  • To start, have your group select the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Cozy Beach Escape Home! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. text the host right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
