Booking the best Sunset Beach vacation property experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Book your Wilmington, NC vacation home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Wilmington, NC area travel guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Start by selecting your trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Ground Floor Unit Champions at Sea Trail Villa Close to beach and golf has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's a particular Wilmington, NC attraction you crave, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a great time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
