How to find the best Ocean Isle Beach vacation home experience:

Finding your perfect vacation home:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Wilmington, NC area. To get the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.

Finding the best rental home in Ocean Isle Beach:

  • Select a group lead, select your dates, and select a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. I LOVE BEACH MUSIC!!! has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is right for your family.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs applied to your invoice.
  • If there's an individual Wilmington, NC attraction you long to visit, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Additional considerations:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
  • Document any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
