Tricks and tips for getting the best rental experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • To book the largest rental home for your budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Wilmington, NC area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.

How to choose and book the right Wilmington, NC rental home:

  • Begin by choosing your the best vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. 0509 Oceanfront Getaway by Atlantic Towers has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before booking the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • If there's an individual Wilmington, NC beach you long to visit, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.

During your stay:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the host immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • At departure, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
