Tricks and tips to get the very best Wilmington, NC rental experience:

Find your best deal:

  • To get the most suitable rental within budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Wilmington, NC attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • In the Wilmington, NC area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, management companies supply Wilmington, NC area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, picking, and booking yourrental home:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Oceanfront 2BR/2Bath Condo in Carolina Beach NC has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available online. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.

During your stay:

  • Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your visit, record any problem areas upon check in. message the property manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many difficulties.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a terrific time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
