With striking vistas of the white sand beach and crashing surf, Beach Birds provides the ideal spot to watch soaring pelicans, swooping seagulls and scurrying sandpipers. Unwind with your morning coffee as you take in expansive vistas and cotton candy colored sunrise clouds from the private oceanfront balcony, or appreciate peaceful evenings with family gathered in the living room. Unwind on the comfortable couches to savor a favorite show or movie. The sturdy dining table seats at least six for meals or to play one of the supplied board games, and the entirely outfitted kitchen provides all the equipment you need to prepare traditional recipes or the catch of the day.

The master bedroom provides a queen bed, direct balcony access and an attached private bathroom with a step-in shower. Fall asleep each nighttime lulled by the sound of the waves just outside. The condo complex has shared walkways to the beach, seasonal pool access, and open grilling area with covered picnic tables close by. Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Wilmington, NC vacation rental experience:

Finding the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in Oak Island. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guides have discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to choose the perfect vacation rental in the Wilmington, NC area:

  • Start by selecting trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Beach Birds: Oceanfront Condo with Excellent Views has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wilmington, NC rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the host before reserving the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.

More tips for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of problems.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
  • During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
