Canary Yellow Coffee and Boutique Shop Inn Suite - The Rose Cordovan - Vacation rental home in Wilmington, NC

Canary Yellow is a micro coffee/espresso bar and boutique gift shop with a modest 3 room inn upstairs. All tied neatly into a "color themed" home that bases each room and coffee drink special on specific color palettes.

Additionally, the hosts live on the same property, on the first floor, in an apartment at the bottom of the back of the home.

The space
Canary Yellow is a micro boutique coffee shop and retail shop with 3 inn rooms located above the coffee shop.

The owners live in the bottom back half of the home with their two dogs.

This is a central location to the downtown Wilmington area, located in the Soda Pop district, and a pleasant walk to most downtown stores and eateries.

Great potential for noise as it is considered a boutique inn with 2 other private room-suites in the same upstairs, much like a hotel. In addition to being a bustling coffee shop located next door to the fire department, and an event hall. However, it’s the same noise level as it would be in any other city setting.

The coffee shop is open 8-3 Wednesday - Friday and 8-4 Saturday and Sunday. With the coffee shop staff arriving at 7AM and cleaning up until 4 or 5PM depending on the closing time.


Parking is all complimentary street parking on the direct street, Princess, and Market Street. Can be tricky to find parking during business hours on weekdays as the parol office is across the street and tends to park numerous cars on the main street for officers. However, plenty of parking can always be found in the surrounding area if needed and generally painless to find after 5PM and on weekend days.
Unloading and loading suitcases can be done directly next to the home in the driveway, but parking must be found after unloading.

Guest access
Guest access is upstairs in their booked private room and the coffee and boutique shop downstairs, along with the covered front porch.

Guests share an entrance and exit with the coffee shop and their room is located on the second floor.

During your stay
You will definitely see the owners (Jordan and Chris) during your stay. They can often be seen working the shop, or cleaning / stocking the shop after hours and just in general as they live at the property.

Other things to note
The coffee shop tends to be very busy on the weekends and there may be a line during open hours to walk through to enter the stairs for the upstairs inn.

We ask that all guests are respectful of the shop, the other guests staying, and the hosts that live on the first floor of the property by just being generally mindful of sound during evening/sleeping hours.
