Pulling up to the Cozy Blue Bungalow you'll notice it's not historic home like all the others on the street. This little Bungalow was constructed in the 70's as a rental unit with one Doctor owned and rented most of the homes on the street. Many of the neighbors still remember the past owner of so many homes on the block as a great man who wanted to home as many people as he could. Now, we are so pleased to restore this three bedroom home offer it to you and your family. With parking right in-front of the front door, you can't have an easier load in!

Once inside you'll see the remodeled kitchen supplied with all you need to prepare on the Gas stove. The kitchen adjoins the living room where there is a huge intelligent TV where you can stream your favorite shows. All the beds are new with new hybrid beds (we get so many comments about our comfortable beds!) and intelligent TV's. The bathroom show has on demand hot water meaning it can never run out! Chill out on the back porch and have a dinner or walk downtown and choose from the many great eateries Wilmington's Downtown has to offer!

Tips and Tricks to get the perfect vacation rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Wilmington, NC attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Wilmington, NC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have coupons for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Choosing the perfect rental home in Wilmington:

  • First and foremost, have your group decide on trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Cozy Blue Bungalow Walk Downtown! Free parking! has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the host before booking the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • Add the owner's contact info to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
