FULL WEEKS ONLY, Saturday-Saturday, DURING SUMMER MONTHS. PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST ONLINE BOOKING FOR LESS THAN FULL WEEKS. Contact us for shorter stays after 9/14.

RECENTLY RENOVATED with new floor, rugs, carpets and trim painting throughout.

NOTE FOR 2021....... Our plan was to have the home painted and decks replaced this offseason but the scarcity/price of lumber and a covid ravaged work crew made it impossible. This is stringently an aesthetic issue and should not affect anyone's enjoyment but in the interest of full disclosure we did want to mention.

Very little actual carpeting, easier to keep clean.

Handsome, two-level, luxury, duplex home located on peaceful street at "The Family Beach." Ideal for one, two, or three couples, modest families.

Fantastic vistas from five decks. Backs up to marshland, Intercoastal Waterway - watch the boats go by from the multi-level back decks. Half block from beach with semi-private access (no public access there means less crowd)- undeveloped tons in front provide for great ocean vistas and sounds. See the ocean and listen to the waves crash as you relax on either of the two front decks. All decks are furnished, newly painted/stained and lower decks and patio provide shade if desired.

Light colors and picture windows on three of four walls give great bright and open feel, very sunny. We newly refreshed the Master bedroom with new twin beds that convert to a King if desired. Families seem to savor the flexibility.

On the right day you will see one of the most impressive sunsets imaginable off of our back decks.

Updated, Florida Villa style decorations. Cozy furnishings, breakfast bar, vaulted ceilings, well equipped kitchen are a few living features. Dining and breakfast bar seats seven for meals.

Three TVs (36 inch big screen in living room, wall-mounted flat screen 20 inch in master, 19 inch in guest), complimentary wifi, DVD, VCR, home theatre, cd player and digital cable provide in-home entertainment options. Puzzles, games and movies are available for rainy days and calming out of the sun.

Grand backyard, BBQ/picnic area. Paved cement patio, driveway and under-home (on pilings) parking for multiple cars/boat. An outdoor shower and changing area are available for cleaning up the family after the beach.

Full weeks only during summer. Nightly units available (minimum stay) in offseason or last-min. during high-season if vacant, please feel complimentary to e-mail, we are very busy but will get back to you.

Holden has a variety of restaurant options, boutique shopping and world class golf within a few miles. It is very unique in that there are many entertainment, dining, recreation and shopping optons on one side of the "big bridge", while the island itself across the bridge is mainly homes, peaceful and peaceful. It is the peaceful hideaway many are looking for, with the amenities to make it enchanting right there as well.

Boat, jet-ski units available at HB Marina. Fishing and crabbing areas readily available.

We adore our "home away from home" and think you will too. We have traveled all over the world and find Holden to be the best beach anywhere for a relaxing, peaceful, courteous coastal vacation.

Please see renter feedback/comments and contact us with any concerns. We are very painless to work with and understand that this non-traditional rental situation (directly from owner) is new to some, we are confident you will be pleased with the experience.

Additional photos available upon request.

Appreciate, Eric and Jamie.

Tips to get the perfect rental home experience:

When to reserve a Wilmington, NC rental home & When to go:

  • Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is a great way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the Wilmington, NC area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have discounts for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Selecting and booking the perfect Wilmington, NC rental home:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Holden Beach Luxury Dunes Home..... Unobstructed ICW Views has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wilmington, NC vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property management company before you book the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • During check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of issues.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on great ratings to drive future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
