Tricks and tips to get the optimal Wilmington, NC rental home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer time is high season in the Wilmington, NC area. To book the largest vacation home within your budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Wilmington, NC area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing and booking a perfectrental:

  • Start by choosing a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Oceanfront Bald Head Home with Private Boardwalk to the Beach has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the host before booking the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is right for your vacation group.

Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges applied to your contract.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the rental manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to compel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
