Finest of all, the whole family is welcome, as up to two dogs are allowed per stay.

Gather in the open concept living space on the third floor, where a fireplace provides a warm glow during the off-season months. If you prefer to work on your tan, the pool deck offers a great perch to soak in the sun's rays, or simply lay your blanket out on the warm sand just yards from your porch steps.

In the evenings, walk to Island Way for charming oceanfront dining or catch a karaoke nighttime or live music at The Seahorse, both located at the Ocean Crest Fishing Pier. Our top Vacation rental tips:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer time is high season in the Wilmington, NC area. To get the best value, shift your family's Wilmington, NC trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Select your vacation week and max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Ollie's Point: Spectacular Oceanfront Home With Pool and Elevator has 9 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, call the property management company before reserving your home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • Does your family require unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • During arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your life at home. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
