Strategies for getting the best rental experience:

When to book a Wilmington, NC rental home & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Carolina Beach. To find the best rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Wilmington, NC attractions.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wilmington, NC area travel guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the perfect vacation home:

  • Start by selecting trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Silver Seas
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the host before booking your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • During check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
